can you mail me the report.bug?
to get it:

during install, in the unending loop, switch to console 2,
put a fat floppy in floppy drive,
and type "bug"

-> it will put report.bug on floppy and this file interests me :)

thanks, cu Pixel.

I cannot get it to switch to console 2 to do as requested.

All i get is a cycling block saying:

Please Wait
Installing driver for disk/scsi/hardware_raid card ppa
Installing driver for disk/scsi/hardware_raid card imm

It never ends. Also this is not a raid box

It you have a trick to get it to go to another console please let me know.

I tested beta2 on a non-server and all went perfectly.
And just to double check. This server does load and install with RedHat 8.0
without a hitch.

Regards,

Dan

Fails to allow an UPDATE as opposed to an INSTALL.

Also, goes into a loop trying to identify a SCSI adapter. Should have gone for
an mptscsih driver but instead goes into some sort of unending loop looking for
a RAID controller.

System involved was a new server
IBM xSeries 225

Just for test, I tried on another PC with the same resluts
