description:
Rather than keyboardrake this is related to initscripts (I'm using version 7.02-3
from cooker, but I've had the very same problem since the one packaged with
9.1beta1).
This is very strange, as when I boot the system it hangs while loading the
keymap. Then, if I hardware-reset the pc and reboot it loads fine.
And it happens anytime. If I shutdown and reboot it hangs, then I reset and it
boots again... it is a finite states machine!! :)

This is the /var/log/messages related output I get when the command
succeedes (as the system hangs, I cannot report the faulty one):

****
gen 18 14:39:27 localhost loadkeys: Loading
/usr/lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/it-latin1.kmap.gz
gen 18 14:39:27 localhost keytable: Carico mappa tasti: it-latin1 succeeded
gen 18 14:39:27 localhost loadkeys: Loading
/usr/lib/kbd/keymaps/include/compose.latin9.inc.gz
gen 18 14:39:27 localhost keytable: Avvio compose keys: compose.latin9.inc
succeeded
gen 18 14:39:27 localhost keytable: succeeded
****

This might somewhat be related to bug #928.
