Yeah I always look for this, just for fun. In Toronto:
Business Depot (huge office store): most linux distros, quite current,
but no Mandrake 9.0
University of Toronto Bookstore: 20 boxes of Suse, several BSD CD's, one
copy of Mandrake 8.2
Future Shop (Canadian version of Best Buy): a few distros, no Mandrake
Only boxed copy I've ever seen here in the UK is the one my Dad bought
for 8.1. Come on guys, England's not that far from France =)

In the Sillycon Valley Fry's the largest retailer....JUST got the
powerpack in the store... other versions are not to be found....

and in Vancouver Canada, last Mandrake I saw in the stores was 8.2
but, it is also not easy to find any distro here, not even in staples or business depot. occasionally in future shop you will find red hat ( and where I found 8.2 )

kind of hard to buy from mandrake store, without having a credit card..
( and getting an account with pay pal and associated services without a credit card from outside the us is not possible. )

my personal, non alterable choice is to only use cash to make purchases. no mandrake in local stores can't give Mandrake even the small bit of money they get from buying boxed set.
( IBM has removed all Canadian retail storefronts, now only way to get ibm service/parts or systems is by purchasing online. well my sister not happy with no support from them with her system going to get away from buying ibm because of it. a lot of people do not want online only interaction for major purchases, they want local shops and face to face dealings, Mandrake isn't a major purchase, but by not being available in local shops there are a lot of people that won't even try mandrake. )
