I don't see why installing kdeadmin means that a user by default will
end up with the wrong tool for installing a package.

If kdeadmin is not installed, then opening an rpm in konqueror in file
mode will by default use gurpmi, so if any dependencies are required,
they will be prompted for and installed.

However, when kdeadmin is installed, kpackage is the default handler for
RPMs, and it doesn't know about dependencies, and it has a more complex
ui (two windows open up instead of just one to install the rpm etc).

IMHO, "Software Installer", being urpmi aware, should always be the
default. People who would be able use kpackage or who would want to use
it, should know to use "open-with".

Small steps like this dispel misconceptions that linux is difficult to
use ... since you can tell users that they can just double-click on a
file to install it (they just need to type in their root password for
security reasons).

Of course, the documentation should also reflect this fact ...
