I have recently packaged the official linux bluetooth libraries and
utilities, and they are now on all cooker contrib sites. I would
appreciate any testing you can offer.

bluez-hcidump: packet dumping
bluez-hciemu: hci protocol emulation
bluez-pan: bluetooth over tcp/ip
bluez-sdp: sdp libraries and tool
bluez-utils: utilities
