I'm installing 9.1beta2 on sdb, with a working RH6.2 ext2 system on sda. I pressed
reset to exit RH6.2 and boot from the 9.1beta2 CD image. This left me with sda1 and
sda2 not being properly unmounted.
I have existing partitions on sdb (created under Mandrake 9.0) I decided to reuse.
After I assigned mount points to all paritions, the system prompted for permission to
format the sdb partitions. It appears that the format fo the sdb partitions was
started in parallel with the fsck of the sda partitions.
When the errors on sda1 were detected, the system locked up with the fdisk repair
prompt at the top of the screen, and the "formatting" status box in the middle of the
screen. A hard reset was needed.
