There are actually cursor selection tools in both KDE and GNOME (in GNOME it's a tab of the Mouse Preferences tool). I think the current problems are just because they don't support this new file format X 4.2.99 can use for cursors. It'll be annoying if MDK 9.1 ships with X 4.3.0 and no decent tools for configuring its cursors...:\ -- adamw
