Thanks for the tip. I'll try with that later. But could this be simplified.
Maybe if you have KMail installed then GPG should create/set the right settings.
Or KMail should autodetect that GPG is installed.

When I try to view an OpenPGP signed message (Detached OpenPGP Signature) in
KMail I get an info dialog saying:

Problem: OpenPGP plug-in was not specified.
Use the 'Settings->Configure KMail->Security' dialog to specify the plug-in or
ask your system administrator to do that for you.

If I go to the settings for this and select Autodetect or GPG - GNU Privacy
Guard (GnuPG is installed) I still get this error. it looks like KMail doesn't
detect that GnuPG is installed.

Also after I dismiss the info dialog the curosr chnges to something that is
crossed. I have to click anywhere to get the normal cursor back.
