This is like a two year old discussion, and there's still no change.
I can't just arbitrarily make changes to other people's packages. There are a number of things I would personally do differently... that doesn't mean I can just hop in and do them. This isn't Danen Linux after all. To make it abundantly clear, my place in all of this is supporting the old stuff. My role as a developer is very small. I maintain an extremely small number of packages. In the grand scheme of things, I have just as much "power" and "influence" as you do. > I don't feel I have to preach DJB stuff, but when this grade of silliness > continues to pop up over and over and over again, I soon will have to look > elsewhere for a more dynamic Linux distributor. This isn't DJB stuff. Maildir is present in many other applications than just DJB-ware. If other, less educated, people want to think Maildir format spools are djbware, then I guess that is their problem. Anyways, this is a waste of time. I don't know why I put myself into these debates, as they always end up the same way. If anyone has an issue with one of my packages, please email me directly. I don't have time for this mailing list anymore... I've got updates to concern myself with. -- MandrakeSoft Security; http://www.mandrakesecure.net/ "lynx -source http://linsec.ca/vdanen.asc | gpg --import" {FE6F2AFD : 88D8 0D23 8D4B 3407 5BD7 66F9 2043 D0E5 FE6F 2AFD}
