------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-07 11:18 -------
The problem was that something got broken during the GTK2 switchover and so
scannerdrake didn't find its database. This I have fixed this week. So the
current (or at the next) drakxtools package on the Cooker will have a working
scannerdrake again.

description:
Trying to set up my scanner with scannerdrake, launching scannerdrake brings up
the following message: "UMAX UMAX S-6E is not in the scanner database,
configure it manually?" This is the same message that the 9.0 scannerdrake
would produce, and clicking yes would bring me to a page where I could select my
scanner from a list (I think it was listed as UMAX Vista S-6E) anyway clicking
yes in the 9.1-0.10 version just kills the program and brings me back to the
command line. Also I guess the scanner should be added as it is supported by
the sane-umax backend.
