I configured X as follows (who knows, may be applicable).
Screen 1024x768 60Hz
Driver ATI Radeon
Resolution 1024x768 16bpp
After setting this and testing (test had no colors by the way, just a gray
background with the 'accept' dialog) I returned to the Summary screen. The X
config reported "x 0bpp". I was confused and thought my selection was lost so I
pressed to configure X again and all my settings read correctly there. So I
pressed "cancel" and upon returning to the summary screen the X config button
read "not configured".
It all worked correctly and was installed correctly, the display was misleading.
