Hi,
I decided to test out 9.1beta3 by upgrading a laptop. The only network device
that I use on this laptop is a Lucent (Orinoco) gold card, which has been
previously using the wvlan_cs driver. Now with the new kernel installed, the
wireless card is not visible, and I have no network working on the laptop
(hence, the 'critical' severity)
Previous kernels have included the wvlan_cs driver.
e.g. (from a machine with the most current kernel pkg downloaded, not installed):
% rpm -q -l -p kernel-2.4.21.0.pre4.3mdk-1-1mdk.i586.rpm | grep wvlan
%
e.g.2 (from a machine running 9.0, with latest updates)
% rpm -q -l kernel-2.4.19.16mdk-1-1mdk | grep wvlan
/lib/modules/2.4.19-16mdk/kernel/drivers/net/pcmcia/wvlan_cs.o.gz
