yes. I know the PnP (DDC) monitor probe is kernel related. But i don't
know what exactly makes it fail.
The easiest to test it, is to switch using "ctr-alt-F2" at the
beginning of install, and type "ddcxinfos".
But since i don't have a clue what could cause the pb :-(
(acpi is major source of problem, but it is not the only one)

I tested Mandrake 9.1 beta3. My Monitor (Compaq S700) is not detected by Plug
& Play during installation.
It is detected by Plug & Play by Harddrake in MDK-9.0.
