[Cooker] k3b or arson ?

It seems that Mandrake is pushing k3b as the main CD writing software (or do I mistake here ?)
However, I do not like very much the mess that k3b puts in mounting points : it creates in fstab new entries and new mounting points like /cdrecorder and /cdreader not in /mnt/ but in the root filesystem.
Is there a way to make it cleaner for the system ?
Alternatively, there is arson, which has a very nice gui. The only thing zhich is missing (or that I did not find) is the absence of "DAO" mode for writing.
