description:
I'm using a older Toshiba 32x Speed CD-ROM: Type XM-6202B (PIO-mode 4).

Mandrake refuses to enter stage 2 when installing.

It probably turned the CD-ROM player on as an UDMA enabled CD-ROM player. The
error messages where however unclear.

I found out that it does install with the prompt: linux ide=nodma

This however severly slows down the install (the HDD uses nodma as well?).
Mandrake should properly check if the CD-ROM is or is not DMA and set the
correct settings, or at least a clear msg :)
