------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-11 23:20 -------
Starting with Mandrake 9.0 (and now 9.1beta3), it appers that SCSI support is
not available on the direct instal CD. One must use images/cdrom.img
transferred to a floppy disk image in order to start an install from a SCSI
CD drive. The initial install code should suggest this option rather than
just hanging the install.

Hello,

I've tried to install MDK 9.1beta3 on an Athlon 2000+ with a MSI K7N42O Mother
Board. I have a CR-Recorder on my SCSI card (Adaptec) and a DVD reader plugged
on my Mother board.
When I try to install MDK with the CD in the CD-Recorder it fails at the
beginning when it try to load the drivers for my SCSI card.
Then I try to put the CD in my DVD player and then it goes further: I can choose
the langage, the mouse but when it makes the hardware detection I got the same
problem!
And I can't see logs with ALT+F3/4 (I even tried in text mode install but no
more success).
I took a look to the different bugs and it seems to have some recurrent problems
with SCSI adapter...

Hope I am clear enough! It's my first bug report!

PS: My card and CD recorder are working on my Windaub XP :0(
