------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-15 13:20 ------- chmouel a crit : OK. I found a problem in my /etc/lilo.conf that could explain mkinitrd not working on my system. I am using 3 HD, one is a removable (extractable) disk with windows OS. This unit was declared as disk = /dev/hde bios=0x82 in /etc/lilo.conf file When the extractible disk is not present /sbin/lilo would fail. So I had to remove this line and /sbin/lilo ran just fine.
