And what happened to languages like
There are countries talking british english in America, so it's there. British english is also in the Europe part, of course. > English - Ireland etc.? There are only two different "languages" for english, which are british and american - FYI this is only the case for english, portuguese (portuguese and brazilian portuguese) and chinese (traditional and simplified): "language" means here "enough differences to provide different translation messages". Hence, there is not a special "language" for "irish british". If you meant the choice of your country, it's of course available, in the Summary step; in that step, the country is auto-filled with the default country for the language (UK for you) but you may change it. The default locale for you will then be set to "en_IE", therefore you will see the exact same functionalities as before, on your newly installed system. The rationale behind the new way of choosing language/countries is: - we first let you choose your language, directly in your language (not in english), which is better for non-english people; - then, in the Summary step, we let you choose the country you live in; that will even allow more versatile behaviour because you're not limited in this choice - you can choose British English as your language, and then any country, for example France or Russia - the system will then talk british english to you, and set country-oriented locales settings to french or russian, depending on the country you've chosen -- Guillaume Cottenceau - http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~gc/
