I have a similar problem on 9.0. I just updated to Texstar's final KDE 3.1
RPMs. Now when I select Reboot from the KDE logout dialog, it drops to init
3, and presents a login prompt.

>From there I am able to login, type "reboot" and make it properly reboot.
