Hello,

I'm in the process of stress testing my Mandrake Cooker installation of
friday. These are the problems I encountered in Gnome:

- When supermount is enabled and cd is changed, the cd-rom icon does not
update the label text to that of the new inserted cd. Instead the old
label of the first cd is displayed

- the battery applet crashes when the module battery is not loaded. It
should give an error message stating that this modules is not loaded
instead.

- I configured manually a HTTP proxy in the Gnome Control Center, but
still the Gnome Weather Applet could not fetch any data. When I checked
the proxy settings in gconf-edit, I noticed the host and port were
saved, but the use_http_proxy checkbox was not checked.

- Another related problem: Gnome 1 programs (notably the Evolution
Summary) use other HTTP settings which should be manually configured by
means of gconftool. These settings should also be generated
automatically by the Gnome Control Center Network Proxy application.

- Default file associations seem to have problems: Clicking on an XLS
file does not open any application, while DOC and PPT are opened in
OpenOffice.org. I propose XLS is also associated with OpenOffice.org or
with gnumeric. Clicking on ZIP files don't have any effect either,
although I have file-roller installed. Same problem with MP3 and AVI
files. AVI should be associated with xine, MP3 with xmms or gst-player
or something...

That's it for now...
