Using devfsd-1.3.25-19.3mdk on mandrake-9.0.
"ls -l /dev/sound" shows:
total 0
crw------- 1 ndeb audio 14, 4 Jan 1 1970 audio
crw------- 1 ndeb audio 14, 3 Jan 1 1970 dsp
crw------- 1 ndeb audio 14, 5 Jan 1 1970 dspW
crw------- 1 ndeb audio 14, 2 Jan 1 1970 midi
crw------- 1 ndeb audio 14, 0 Jan 1 1970 mixer
crw------- 1 ndeb audio 14, 1 Jan 1 1970 sequencer
crw------- 1 ndeb audio 14, 8 Jan 1 1970 sequencer2
Why are these files/dirs owned by a non-root user. Should not the ownership belong to
the root.
Also, if its owned by the root, the permissions should be changed to crw-rw-rw- .
