System: Asus A7N8X nForce2 with silicon Image sil3112 SATA raid controller on
motherboard, 2x Seagate 120G SATA drives configured as a raid 0 array. WIn200
installed in primary partition of 80G. Remaining 160G unused. Hercules Prophet
9700Pro video card. LiteOn 48x24x CDRW.
Beta 3 - text install as graphics install has display problems at first screen.
(See other bug reports) Installation takes up to 10 minutes to get to first
screen. Identifies sil3112 no problem and recogises ACPI is turned on. Stalls
at drives sitting on hde and hdg with repeated messages about loosing IRQs.
Takes about 1 minute to display each message and repeats itself 5 or 6 times
per drive before finally continuing on with boot process. Then locks up at
first screen when attempting to access the drives for information.
I have tried several things and not been able to get past the first screen.
beta 3 is a complete no go on this hardware.
