------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-20 12:36 ------- rc1: Still no go. I tried complete deinstallation and reinstallation of OOo packages and it may be noteworthy that urpmi said the OpenOffice.org package signatures were invalid (the ISO md5sums were OK!). ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Snippet from my article on the Cooker list (see URL): --- When I tried the bundled (nl localized) OpenOffice.org, it would segfault the moment I asked it to display the Albany font (this font is bundled with StarOffice). In an effort to find out what was happening, I edited the ooffice startup script and changed the My$Debug variable from 0 to 1. That was a bad idea: after this, starting OOo would only yield: 'Installation of OpenOffice.org 1.0.2 failed.' even after I set the debug variable back to 0. Reading the startup script I come to the conclusion that for some reason this only happens when it wants to run Setup and setup doesn't exit correctly, I don't know why it wants to run Setup though. --- This problem was confirmed on the list by one person. Please see the URL for all the data and the gdb backtrace. It looks like libfreetype may have something to do with it. My system is an Athlon 600 on an Epox 7KXA board with 256MB of memory.
