I can't understand this bug and what I understand seems much unprobable.
Maybe you can test again with RC1 and check if it still exists, try to open
another bug with better and more extensive explanations.

if a first installation failed after rpmdrake specification, on reboot, the
program mount the previous created / and etc. , under /mnt, it is impossible to
remove them directly
my own workaround is to reboot and select ctrl-alt F2 and use fdisk in order to
remove the older file system
