Either your dhcp server should be setting ip/hostname via MAC address:
host mybox { hardware ethernet XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX; fixed-address
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx;}
or, your machine should be providing a hostname in the dhcp request
(especially with DDNS)
drakconnect did not seem to do the right thing, so I added:
DHCP_HOSTNAME=mybox
to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0. It might work if you set
it in /etc/sysconfig/network, but really, drakconnect should set it
(which it did not for me, even though I filled it in during install and
afterwards).
