Same here (Sony VAIO FX702). The option acpi=on in the lilo.conf don't seems 
to work: the modules are not loaded. 
With the modules manully loaded (or with the file /etc/modules) it seems to work 
fine. 
But pb with halt/reboot: I have to use the power button. I read the option noapic 
could help but it has absolutly no effect. I'm sure this pb come from acpi 
though.
