description:
The kernel currently includes two sets of drivers for the Cisco Aironet PCMCIA
cards:
/lib/modules/2.4.blah/kernel/drivers/net/pcmcia/airo*.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.blah/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/airo*.gz
The .../net/pcmcia/airo*.gz drivers are obsolete and should be removed from the
kernel packages; if they aren't removed, at best they report that they have been
support a deprecated version of the wireless tools, at worst (with 4.2.30 Cisco
firmware) they cause a kernel oops when the modules are loaded.
I'm not sure about the rest of the drivers in the .../net/pcmcia/ directory, but
the airo*.gz drivers should definitely be removed.
