------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-22 17:32 ------- Checking installation of 9.1 RC 1: The installation does not seem to _detect_ the presence of a dual CPU, or at least pays no attention to it, insofar as neither the SMP kernel package or the Enterprise kernel package seem to be _automatically_ selected. I have to manually "select individual packages" to include these kernels. Probably one of these kernels (or both - I haven't checked the differences between them) ought to be automatically selected if a dual CPU system is detected. I mean, that's what one would expect from the installation program - to make use of as much of the present hardware as possible. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: This applies to Mandrake 9.1 beta 3 On a Dell Precision Workstation 610 MT with dual 450 MHz Pentium II Xeon CPU, the second CPU is not detected - at least it doesn't show up in HardDrake. On Mandrake 9.0, the installation detected the second CPU correctly, and installed an SMP kernel.
