Hi,

I am considering subscribing to ADSL and prefer getting USB ADSL
modem (mostly to avoid yet anotgher card and yet another power
supply; as speed is limited to 128k anyway it is not an issue).
Provider names as compatible Zyxel Prestige 630 EE and AusLinx AL-2006.

With ZyXEL the problem is, there is 630-11 that is not supported
by Linux and 630-41 that is (and 630-13 about which I have no idea).
630 EE seems to be local Russian product name but so far I could not
find out if it is compatible with any of the above (well, it is
finally chipset that counts ...)

It appears that AL-2006 is actually Conexant AccessRunner that is
supposed to run under Linux ... but not in SMP kernel :)

Now, I need PPP over ATM for this type of modems. Is kernel part
already in Mandrake? In general, anybody has experience with these
things applied to Mandrake? Assuming I get it finally running and if
there is no active support support for Mandrake would it be interesting?

TIA
