yeah, the ALSA mixer and SB-Live are a bit of a bitch to get setup right.
The only advice I got when asking about a setup for 5.1 surround sound
was: fiddle with each mixer control until you get what you want then
never touch the settings again.
As for advice, I really have none. And no my 5.1 surround sound is not
current setup.
