Anyone reading these Bug reports? I am a member of mandrake club, not just a
leacher.

Has anyone seen this bug/problem. Is there anything that can be done about it.

I believe it is a problem with the way that autologins are currently done. Currently
i
believe that it is done by a script called "autologin" which runs "startx" for the
specified user. This created the previously stated problem because it isn't running
kdm, which for some reason causes the logout menu to only let you select logout. It
would be nice to be able to select reboot or shutdown with autologin enabled.

When I use drakboot to setup the autologin process to autologin into kde it logs me in
as if i started kde from a console with startx. The problem with this is that the
logout
button only allows the user to logout, not to shutdown and or reboot the machine.
Now.. If i set drakeboot not to autologin and i configure mdkkdm and or normal kdm to
automatically login the user i want to login, the logout button provides all the
options to
the user when it is pressed to either logout, reboot , or shutdown.
