In that case you can use /proc/asound/card0/oss_mixer to bind OSS PCM to "Wave" something like this: echo 'PCM "Wave" 0' > /proc/asound/card0/oss_mixer should enable volume control in OSS emulation.
For bass/treble you did unmute tone-control?
