Does it get listed by lspcidrake -v with the correct driver? Else you might
supply the pci ids so the pci ids can get updated.
Afaik your modules.conf should have an alias:
alias /dev/v4l saa7134
Then when you start X with xv enabled, it should load the driver
automatically. 
When you modprobe the driver by hand, does it get loaded, and is it
functional? After you restart X it should be usable in X.
