I have a GEF2 and use the XFree nv driver. The system has been
kept cooker current on a daily basis since cooker unfroze after 9.0's
release, and a fresh install at 9.1b3. I boot directly to KDE. Less
than 50% of the time, the screen is garbled, but usable. This has
been going on for a few months. A logout and back in fixes it. I only
see this behavior when booting, not loging out/in to KDE. The
problem persists with XF-4.3 final. I thought the situation was a
hardware deficiency of my el cheapo Abit GeF2.
