This is not (or at least was not) a political debate. It is a request for opinions from people I respect before I respect the wishes of those on the Club who have requested that the software be added to the distribution. Club members have had their say, and I wanted to be inclusive (regarding those here who do not visit the Club). I would also maintain that the Club is also not the best place for political debate. If you have a valid argument against the software being made available in contrib, please state it, so that we can conclude this discussion. Thus far there have been (IIRC, will check when I have faster access to my mailbox) two people who would prefer not to have the software included, many who would not use it, but think it should be included, and a fair number who would use it if it were included (some of whom currently get the software by other means). Please also note that if someone feels that it should not go in without representation of other beliefs, that I will consider packaging other software (if I have the time) before adding sword,GnomeSword and Bibletime.
