Update: My wife did see the Install/Upgrade button on try #1. On tries #2 and #3 this
selection
was not available. If I wanted to do a clean install on the subsequent tries, I would
have had to
levae the "format partition" box (on by default) checked.

description:
The idiot install of RC2 is not quite as idiot friendly. This morning my wife decided
to install
(instead of upgrade) her existing RC1 installation. Unfortionately the installation
doesn't ask (as
in RC1) if you want to install or upgrade, the only visible indication is the "format
drive select
box".

Can we please have the "Install/Upgrade" back? I subsequently had to run the
installation tool
again (more on this in a later report) and had no idea where I was. Because I didn't
format the
drive, I apparently did an upgrade. *shrug* At home (will only try tonight) I have two
installations of RC1 (one minimal, one full blown) - what will happen in this case?
Will it ask me
to select the partition to upgrade? Or will it just do the first one it finds?
