Well of course this is supposed to be this way, if you set it to receive an
IP(Automatic IP) then you can not change the IP adress. Automatic Ip will
resolve the hostname from the dhcp server. So this is no bug but a feature.

During eth0 configuration, there is a funny dependence between the checkboxes 
'Automatic IP' and 'Get host name from DHCP server'.

If you leave the 'Automatic IP' checkbox ON (as is by default), the checkbox 'Get host 
name from DHCP' remains grayed out and not modifiable.

As soon as you uncheck 'Automatic IP' you can modify the other.
