Vladimir from the GATOS team fixed the bug in their CVS tree. I updated to it and my
problem
is now resolved.

description:
In Mandrake 9.0, the GATOS project's TV tuner program, AVView, worked flawlessly. Now
however, after doing a configure, make, make install as usual, I get the following
error(s):
Adaptor 0: ATI Radeon Video Adapter
type input video image
ports 61
61 ATI Radeon Video Adapter
master=.controlwin row=1 column=0
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 141 (XVideo)
Minor opcode of failed request: 14 ()
Serial number of failed request: 770
Current serial number in output stream: 770
The tuner used to be using port 59, which may be part/all of the problem, but the new
XFree
doesn't seem to let me change it from 61 to 59. The program instantly crashes and
displays
this message at launch. Having TV tuning capabilities is a major reason why I use
Mandrake (Redhat doesn't work very well with GATOS.). Please coordinate with the
GATOS
team if necessary because I believe it affects all ATI All-In-Wonder cards. An AVView
RPM
that fixes the problem would be nice, but "make install" is fine as long as I can
actually use
my tv tuner. Thank you very much for your help. I am very pleased with the direction
Mandrake is heading with 9.1 aside from this issue.
