Yes, saslauthd is compiled with ldap support, and since ldap still uses the old library, saslauthd requires it.
Since saslauthd is a separate process communicating with the main library through a unix pipe this should not cause problems.
Of course you can compile saslauthd without ldap support, but the real solution is to update ldap.
