Always here with the new mdk 9.1 RC2 !. This bug's caused by a IRQ conflict
between the audio chipset (VT82C686 AC97/Apollo) and the network chipset
(Realtek RTL8139).
I've succeeded to boot after changing the plug'n play BIOS's option to "Yes"
that let Linux to choose the IRQ address but the conflict is always here after
system complet starting and consequently i have no network and no sound.
I tried to change the services order (sound before network), but nothing
change. This two devices want the same IRQ address (IRQ 10).

description:
After a new standard installation (without individual packages selection cause
crash installation, see bug 2488) of the latest Mdk 9.1 RC1 on my Sony Vaio
laptop (pcg-fx301), the kernel boot totally froze on the alsa driver (I wait a
long long time and never start). Impossible to do something else than turn off
power (consequently I can't test ACPI).
