In upgrading the new 9.1 RC2 isos over an existing RC1, I noticed a few old gcc
components were being removed during the installation "to avoid version
incompatibilities". In checking the contents of the CDs:
- most of gcc is version 3.2.2-3
gcc-cpp, libgcc1, libstdc++5, libstdc++5-devel, libstdc++5-static-devel,
gcc-objc, gcj-tools, libf2c0, libgcj3, libgcj3-devel, libgcj3-static-devel,
gcc-colorgcc, gcc-doc, libgnat1, libobjc1
- however some is version 3.2.2-2
gcc, gcc-c++, gcc-g77, gcc-java, gcc-gnat
Note that other dependancies of gcc (eg rpm-build) may also fail to be installed.
