------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-07 18:15 ------- I just tried to do a network install of the latest cooker, to update my current cooker version. Didn't have any problems during previous cooker installations, but this time, my USB mouse didn't work. There was a mousepointer present, but I couldn't get it to move. The red laser of the mouse wasn't turned on ether, so it seems that USB doesn't work at all. I don't have any other usb devices, so I can't test that, and the mouse itself works perfectly in previous installs and the current version I have installed now. Also, when the install tries to configure the mouse after a few steps, the mouse won't be detected, and I get some module errors. I DO get into the 'test mouse' screen, but that doesn't really help anything as the mouse doesn't work. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Hi, I upgraded 9.0 to 9.1 RC2. With 9.0 I had a serial mouse (USB mouse with a USB-Serial adapter). When I tried the Upgrade process with the serial mouse I got the Lang Selection section followed by Mouse selection screen. At this point I decided to try the mouse as USB. I aborted the install, swapted the cable for mouse and restarted the install. The install froze after Licence screen (I selected Yes ofcourse). The whole install froze (no keyboard either) I wanted to give it another shot and power cycled the machine. This time it went past License screen, but no Mouse selection screen was presented. The install went quite well. At the end during boot loader install, I selected to make a boot disk (Advanced). After the disk was created the mouse froze again. The keyboard was working though and I completed the install with the KBD. Note: The md5sums of the CDs are good. Thanks for your attention. Thanks, nram (Ramesh Natarajan)
