An ounce is a measure of weight, not volume. It equals 28 grams.

hey
i wonder .. when does recipes call for ounces as in weight, or ounces as in
volume?
i mean .. we got cans here like of tomatoes (virutaly the only thing we got in cans) and sometimes i see butter given in ounces, or chocolate or .. hmm
other stuff..
when is it volume meassure, and when is it weight?
any rules here?

greetings from Ranveig.
