Charles,
Do you have a colander? You can put this in a big pot and fill it (the
colander with vegetables. A colander stands on three small feet, thus
providing a space between it and the surface it is on, so it would be
perfect as a steamer.
If you have a pressure cooker, I think that comes with a trivet, that has
holes in it and is meant to be used as a steamer.
