Fall Spice Cake

Cook Time: 30 minutes

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups applesauce
1/2 cups raisins
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°. Melt the butter in a 9x13 pan in the oven.
Sift together the flour, sugar, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt. Stir the flour mixture into the pan. Add the applesauce and raisins. Stir the batter until all ingredients are well combined. Sprinkle the top with brown sugar. Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick or cake tester inserted
in the center comes out clean.
