There are stoves like that. My friends house, in the counter, has the oven 
and the controls are in a block setting with the two left burners in order 
to the controls so back left is back left and ... They have an oven that is 
next to the stove in a cabinet thing with the microwave on top. A lot of 
houses for people with disabilities use ovens like this but they got one as 
they built their house, I like using it because you don't have to worry 
about reaching over boiling greace, if that is something that you worry 
about.

Are you talking about a stand alone oven for the counter or is it built in?
I've never heard of a stove without the oven.
