Your method sounds like a winner. I wonder if you've ever experimented by measuring the exact amount of 3 drops into like say, 1/8 tsp if it equals to that amount? If it did, then one could just squeeze the coloring directly into the measuring spoon or if your clumbsy like me better do it in a tiny cup or bowl where you can scoop it into the measuring spoon, or is this like too much hassle?

If you can get a medicine dropper that came with an eye drop or ear drop
bottle, the dropper only holds 3 drops.  I have done that before.

Anyone here have a system for using food coloring in baking, or though it's OT, plado making? As a blind person, is there a way to measure and possibly get the color right? Recipes usually call for a certain amount of drops, but I can't hear the drops come out of the tube when I try to measure that way.
