maybe this is a little on the side, but i would just be curious to hear about diferent cooking accidents and what you learned from them :)
not really disaster, but, but.....
here are mine:
1. i had a cinamon jar, was convinced i needed to take the lid all the way off, and there would be holes underneath the lid. but there was an opening at the side, that the holes under it. anyway, i ended up with half a bottle of cinamon on my poridge of that a little dusting. 2. frying pork chops on way too high heat. ended up with small lburns on my face and on my arms, and the fire department comign for a not so cool visit. wisdom; i'll stick to medium heat.
