I don't know about this specific microwave, but sometimes things like pieces of meat or crumbs can get stuck under my turn table. I just take it off, clean it, and put it back on it's spindle thing and all is well.

There is a motor that makes the turn table turn while the microwave is running, so this could also be what you're hearing. I can hear mine turning whether I've got something sitting on the turn table or not.

Just because people don't understand you doesn't make you an artist.

Oops sorry yes, the turntable or the plate is making the noise. We just clean the plate with soap. it sounds like the plate is rubing against the walls of the microwave and so we stop the wave and the plate is usually securely still on. We just can't figure out why its doing this.
