Crockpot Vegetarian Savory Soup
3 diced carrots
3 diced potatoes
2 stalks celery
1 medium onion, diced
2 cups chopped cabbage
2 cups green beans
4 cups diced tomatoes (or 1 quart canned)
1/2 cup hulled barley
2 tbsps. dried parsley
1 tsp. dried basil
salt and pepper to taste
Cover all with water.
Sometimes we add some corn or peas too, veggie amounts can be adjusted to
what you have.
We simmer this in the crockpot all day.
Makes 6 servings.

I have no idea what hauled barley is, but I'd just use what ever kind of
barley you usually use.
